Teacher’s day (5th September 2011)
Teachers have an influencing role of every student in their life. They are like beacons of light, guiding us in the formative year of our life. Teachers mould us and in the process and shape our future. 5th September is celebrated as teacher days as a mark of tribute to the contribution made by teachers to the society. 5th September is also birthday of the great teacher Dr. Sarvapali Radhakrishnan’s, who was a staunch believer of education and was the well- known diplomat, scholar, president of India and above all a teacher. What we learn from our teachers remain with us, throughout the life.
Teacher’s day is one of the occasions that are looked forward by the teachers and student alike as on the occasion it is not only when teachers are praised but also around various schools dress up as a representation of their teachers and take various lectures that are assigned to the teachers they represent.
